Owls

Today we had the BEST visitors...Happisburgh Owls came to see us AND we learnt so much!  We met a Barn Owl called Ghost, a Tawny Owl called Bracken, a Little Owl called Munchkin, an Eagle Owl called Shanti and a Northern White-Faced Owl called Trouble. Ask us about owls vision and hearing - we are experts!  We also know that owls favourite foods are mice, rats and especially voles.   Our best fact of the day was that when you hear Tawny Owls, it is the girl saying 'twit' and the boy answering 'twoo.'   What an AMAZING experience!

Fun with fruit!

Well, our last well-being session of this term with Mr Baney went down a treat as we got to create our own fruit pancakes full of energy, healthy, delicious fruits and creamy yogurt.  Mmmmmm!  We talked about the importance of washing our hands and how to use a knife carefully to chop the fruit. We also found time to share our home learning.  Great effort by our Year 1 and 2 children, who chose to make boats, create art work, add and subtract money and even become authors of their very own fishy tales!  A-MA-ZING! Lastly we were truly mesmerised by Mrs Lond's wedding photos that were 49 years old!  We found out that Mrs Lond made her very own dress for £25 and that Mr Lond's car broke down on the way to the church! We made a beautiful card for Mr and Mrs Lond and Mrs Lond also helped us to draw our Valentine's Day raffle.   It's hard to believe our half term is over already.  A huge thank you from Miss Wones and Mrs Holmes for your continued support for this fanta
